Brandon is co-Founder and Managing Partner of Cotton Ginsberg Capital Partners. He maintains close relationships with key investors in the United Kingdom, United States, Germany, Switzerland, Norway and Japan.
Brandon has covered institutional investors globally for 33 years. Since Co-Founding Cotton Ginsberg Capital Partners, Brandon has participated in and led over 15 fundraises across asset classes. Brandon works with institutional investors including pensions, insurers, endowments, financial institutions, fund-of-funds and family offices. Additionally, Brandon has spent 24 years in Investment Banking, building and managing global client-focused equity businesses. 20 of those years were spent in Japan, as Managing Director and Head of Japanese Equities at Citigroup, CEO of KBC Japan and 3 years as Managing Director, Head of Equities at Deutsche Bank, Tokyo. He subsequently went on to build and run the European equity business at SMBC Nikko in London. One of the most experienced and longest serving investment banking senior managers in Japan, with extensive relationships with Japanese and Global Institutional Investors, Domestic and Global Alternative Managers, Brandon speaks fluent Japanese, and has managed and helped place some of the largest capital raises in the Japanese market.
Brandon earned an MA in Japanese Studies from Cambridge University after graduating from Winchester College; he lived in Japan for 22 years and has exceptional knowledge of spoken and written Japanese, as well as good conversational Spanish, French and Korean. In addition, Brandon has practised Judo for over 35 years, currently holds the grade of black belt 5th dan and was a member of the Great Britain National Student team.
